Thoroughly enjoyed the 6km Kings Canyon rim walk this morning – every bit as amazing as I had remembered. Managed to walk in the opposite direction to all of the bus trips, thank goodness. So it wasn’t even spoilt by the huge tours.

Popped down the wheelchair proof track to see Kathleen Springs before leaving Watarrka National Park.

Long drive to Yulara – the ‘resort/settlement’ nearest to Ayers Rock. Very busy, but found a patch of grass for our tent. Fred’s afraid that we’ll lose our parking spot if we drive to the rock now, so we’ll view sunset from the lookout here. Or not as the case may be.
