Day 1 of 2 day hike. Good walk up Picaninny Creek and into Picaninny Gorge. Pretty hard going on loose pebbles and sand. Gorge becomes progressively more enclosed. Hiked with full pack to the 'fingers' and continued up the right hand one. Set up camp by another fork and continued up the left hand option as far as we could boulder. Great fun. Returned to camp to a cold dinner – no camping stove!
