Woken up at the crack of dawn, before 6am by noisy campers moving out (well the car was noisy anyway). Gave up trying to sleep and decided that at least I wouldn’t have to queue for one of the 3 showers at this time in the morning.

Located a 4X4 mechanic and towed the disabled vehicle there. Discovered that they had front shock absorbers for the Landrover, found out the price fitted and booked it in for this afternoon. Extremely reasonable price (later discovered that they had never done a Landrover before and had underestimated labour - as we had questioned their initial quote we only paid out for 1 hour of labour! Still, it would have been quicker if Fred had done it himself).

Located van park with on-site vans so that we can have a total clear out, planning session and general de-dust. Really great spot, not too busy, van right next to the swimming pool and cheaper than the last place. Settled into Broome Caravan Park and set to with the website. Fred has degunked the CD stacker and it is now back in working order again. We could have saved ourselves $90 and a couple of days in Carnarvon the first time round!
