Spent the morning exploring the Swanhill Pioneer settlement and even had a cruise on the Murray on a paddle steamer. The settlement is great fun – all of the staff are dressed in period costume and there is plenty to see and do.

We left around lunchtime and embarked on the final stage of our journey. Had an unintentional scenic detour around Bendigo. Hit Melbourne at just the wrong time of day so spent a great deal of time stuck in traffic for the first time in ages. It will make a huge difference when the tunnel is open in both directions. Arrived at Tim and Gea’s somewhat later than anticipated, but still in time for tea and celebratory drinks! Great to see everyone again.
