Spent the last few days finalising shipping arrangements for the Landrover, chasing air tickets and wild-goose chasing shock absorbers. Moses Peta was extremely helpful and arranged quotes from 3 different companies. We ruled out one as being an unknown quantity for cars. Moses arranged for us to interview the remaining companies. We chose to ship through RK Suri. We sorted out documentation, procedures and paid a US$500 deposit. So the car will be shipped from Madras to Perth sometime around 1^st May. It will take between 4-6 weeks to arrive in Perth. We had hoped to stop off in SE Asia and tour around there while we were waiting. Unfortunately, you can’t have stop overs on one-way tickets, so in the end we will have some time in Perth before the car arrives. We leave Madras on 10 May.

We also spent sometime chasing quotes to ship shockers from the UK. In the end, we decided that we could manage without them for the time being. At least we know what they are worth, should we have desperate need.
