Managed to locate the mythical Landrover Dealer.
Actually, he was more of a BMW dealer with a small Landrover
sticker in the window. After the Parts guy had been gone for sometime, the answer
came back that they could supply the shock absorbers but that they did
not have them in their stores. Could
we come back on Monday? We
agreed that this would not be a problem.
Time will tell whether they can actually get the right parts!
We wended our way back to the campsite and abandoned the vehicle.
A short stroll into Connaught Place, the centre of town, to have a look around and see if we could obtain an Indian SIM card for the mobile. We found a ‘Pay as you Go’ option, but unfortunately it is specific to Delhi. The only way to get Indian Roaming coverage is to have monthly bills, a steep deposit and a permanent Indian address! So we opted for the Delhi one to sort out shipping etc while we are in the area. Had lunch, explored a Bazaar and then returned to base for website updating and landrover maintenance. Perhaps sight seeing tomorrow as its Sunday. |
