Waved a sad farewell to Arambol. Drove backroads to Panaji. Included a ferry crossing at Siolim. Headed down the coast and through the ‘British Package Tour Resorts’ – horribly commercialised – glad that we didn’t stay here! We left the small state of Goa behind us and travelled on better roads through Karnataka. Stopped the night at Udipi. Apparently, there is a famous Hindu temple here – we didn’t see it as we were on a quest to access e-mail – unsuccessful!
