Popped down the track to see Edithanna Pool before leaving Cobra station.  Pretty pool surrounded by Gum trees.

Then made progress towards Exmouth along gravel tracks of varying quality.  Saw many emus and roos but virtually no sheep or cattle (which you generally imagine that stations would have in reasonable numbers!).  The back of the pickup and everything in it is is now totally covered in fine red dust – it gets into everything and seems to be impossible to keep out!

Before we arrived in Exmouth, we detoured into Cape Range National Park to view some spectacular canyon formations.  You really wouldn’t have guessed that they were there, looking from the main road.  Sadly, there is no camping in this part of the National Park so we returned to the main road and travelled on to Exmouth, where we discovered that we were well and truly back on the “Tourist Trail”.
