Time to clear out of our cosy flat.
I still felt a little fluey so opted out of a mornings skiing.
Fred went off in pouring snow for another lesson.
They finished early because it was too windy for the cable car to
operate, so we had hot chocolates and said Goodbye to Marios and Gabi,
our ski instructors.
Set off through very snowy conditions in the direction of Bucharest. Had to wait while 2 trucks attempted to pull a bus back onto the road. The first 40 or so km were very slow as there was a great deal of snow on the road and it was blizzarding hard. The weather and road conditions only cleared up after we had dropped down onto the plains on the otherside of the hills. We then made haste to Bucharest, missing the turn off to the ring road and travelling right through the centre. All signs disappeared as soon as we entered the city so we relied on the GPS until we found some signs out the other side. Travelled nearly to the Bulgarian border before stopping for the night. |
